What Would You Do?

I love this show on ABC called What Would You Do? It puts people in certain situations that they don’t know are staged, and then the people are secretly filmed see how they would react.

So I thought I would every now and then have posts where I pose certain scenarios to my readers. They could be made up, or they could be something you told me, and didn’t think I would use.

Here’s the situation. (Oh, and to my local friends, … Continue Reading »

Mommy Needs To Take A Time-Out

Dear Ben, Jack and Julia,

Next week I will be going on a little vacation with Amy to California. I know. Why do I need to go away without you and Daddy? How can I say this without sounding too harsh?

Sometimes Mommies need timeouts. Not the timeouts like you used to get when you got into trouble. A Mommy Timeout is needed when a mom needs a break from day to day life.

Don’t misunderstand Mommy, she loves her day–to-day life. But now and then, Mommy thinks she … Continue Reading »

Oh my God! I Think My Husband Is Siri

I don’t know about you, but every time I watch those Apple Siri commercials with Zoey Deschanel I want to scream! In cute, adorable Zoey’s commercial, she asks Siri about the weather, “Is that rain?” “Let’s order tomato soup.”

“Okay, I found a few places that deliver.”

“Play me shake rattle and roll.”

I have an iPhone 4S. And these commercials are fake advertising! And as soon as I am done getting my kids’ stuff ready for camp, I have every intention of starting a petition.

My About To Turn Forty Bucket List

Just got back from Universal Studios. Have been there more times than I can remember, but have never purchased a turkey leg. Maybe because I am a pescatarian. But I always wanted to get one and hold it. I told Scott we needed to buy five turkey legs and photograph ourselves. But after five hundred times riding Spiderman and The Simpsons, our turkey leg moment never came. I was sad. Not even seeing other people enjoying their turkey legs with one hand, while professionally navigating their motorized scooter with … Continue Reading »

If It’s Important To You, Then It Is To Me Too

Aren’t these men in this picture adorable? They are at the grocery store buying their Mother’s Day treats. They have let the moms sleep in, they have probably taken care of the grocery shopping for the week. They are making their wives feel special and appreciated. Did you have a great Mother’s Day or do you want to kill your husband for not making your feel special and important?

Scott and I are on the same page now with Mother’s Day. I think it took a good … Continue Reading »

Happy Mother’s Day

I have poured 3,975 glasses of water for my kids. Of those said glasses, I have cleaned up at least 1,000 messes. I have worked on 20 science projects and had 300 well check visits. I have made 6,000 school lunches. I have driven in the car for four hours straight, all while staying within a 2 mile radius, having never actually stepped foot out of my car. I have been asked by another mom at a restaurant if I had any rubber dinosaurs for her baby to play with, … Continue Reading »
