Is There A Quick Fix For Beauty?

beauty fixes for moms
I have had a hard time sleeping.  Waking up at about 4am every morning.  I quietly go into my son Jack?s empty room and turn on the TV.  And let me tell you, there is a wealth of information on TV at that time.

Did you know that Cindy Crawford is part of an incredible discovery of a magic melon that will stop aging?

Jane Seymour still has long hair, and too has discovered the secret to perfect skin.  I  found out I can perform my own microdermabrasion.

I can get a perfect body in six weeks.  I can purchase one compact of makeup and one makeup brush that will take care of all my cosmetic needs.  I can wear a belt that will work my abs while I watch TV and eat Cool Ranch Doritoes.

Needless to say, by 5am I am a bit overwhelmed and feeling that I am not doing enough to look and feel young.  I think all these infomercials are on so early in the morning because we are not fully awake, we don?t look so pretty, and maybe we feel really full from our pasta dinner and bottle of Pinot from the night before. (Maybe I should be watching Intervention)

Confession time, don?t judge.  I did put my trust in Cindy, hypnotized by her mole and flawless skin, years ago I bought Meaningful Beauty. In awe of the women?s bodies from Brazil, I took a chance with the Brazilian Butt Lift.  Always a fan of Jaimie Lee Curtis and her belief in a good digestive system, I gave Sheer Cover a whirl.  I currently workout to Tracey Anderson Method, with a mini trampoline I might add.  And, I am proud to say, I completed P90X.

I know what you are thinking, I should probably just pop a Tylenol P.M. and stay asleep.  I am better now, and have taken a step back to figure out what is the best plan of action to look and feel our best as we get older.  For me, I have two plans of action.  One, I kidnap Jennifer Lopez and make her tell me everything she does.  Her skin secrets, her workout routine.  If she tells me I need to get a young boyfriend, I will try to get permission from Scott?.Or,

I go with the more realistic plan.  I force myself to workout at least four times a week,  (I do have a library to DVDS to choose from). I stop eating things that are only on a children?s menu, and I stick to a regular skin regimen.

Tune in tomorrow for some skin care tips I have discovered that actually do help.  I have to go, this Ab Belt is really starting to bother me.
